Position Summary

Based in Stow, OH, the Data Governance Analyst will play a vital support role for all Mactac locations with a primary focus on data governance, partnering with each department to maintain data integrity across various facets of the business. This team member will own master data control related to vendors, customers, and items. This role will also have responsibility for part setup, applying costing and maintaining accuracy through monthly cost rolls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory and labor recording activities to ensure proper reporting of production costs.
  • Perform monthly cost standard cost rolls for manufactured and purchased products along with cost change analysis.
  • Set up new raw material, WIP, and Finished Goods items; create and maintain production BOM's.
  • Develop and maintain master routing schedules.
  • Review item master accuracy and validate expected fields are consistently populated.
  • Monitors inventory transactions for errors in unit of measure, costing, and transaction type.
  • Works closely with various Departments (Mfg. Engineering, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain etc.) to input and maintain Master Data elements.
  • Assists in the development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Reviews and approves or rejects change objects in the ERP system to verify that attributes are filled in and consistent with the current lifecycle and business process.
  • Manages master level set up on vendor, customer and item tables.
  • Works on special projects / assignments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Selection Criteria:

  • Education:
    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ Years of relevant, manufacturing experience desired.
    • Computer proficient in an integrated information system environment. Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne highly desirable.
    • Advanced Excel skills and report writing query tools preferred.
  • Position Skills:
    • Advanced Excel skills required; must be able to import data from outside sources, utilize formulas and functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF commands), create graphs and pivot tables and have a basic understanding of database query logic.
    • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point including ability to create executive level presentations.
    • Current working knowledge of cost accounting, bills of materials, routers, inventory flow and variance generation.
    • Prior physical or cycle count inventory audit and documentation.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Environment:
    • Individual will be required to work in both plant and office environment. May travel up to 15% of the time. Eye and feet protection is mandatory when working around all equipment.
  • Language Skills:
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company. Ability to use computers to do word processing and spreadsheets is required.
  • Other:
