We are looking for a (Junior) Data Analyst (m/f/d) who is motivated to support the growth of the ABOUT YOU Outlet, an online shopping club with a dedicated app and website. Every day, new deals go live lasting for seven days. During that time, customers can shop from a discounted selection of products. 

The Outlet team consists of three core functions: 1) Tech & Product, 2) Marketing & CRM, and 3) Business Development & Supply Side. We are a young and international team who work together in a modern office in the heart of Hamburg’s city center. As our (Junior) Data Analyst (m/w/d) you will be a key-enabler to different stakeholders within the Outlet team (Marketing, Pricing, Deal Planning), supporting them in achieving their business objectives as well as making educated decisions based on data. Your main focus will be to offer actionable insights and recommendations derived from data analysis, facilitating informed decision-making and fostering business expansion. The work you do will have an immediate impact on the success of the ABOUT YOU Outlet. This role offers you the opportunity to experience first-hand the fast-paced environment of fashion, e-commerce and tech in an international team. 

ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

While you will work on a diverse range of topics, they all have in common developing smart data-driven solutions to enable faster and better business decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Diving into our data infrastructure and developing a strong understanding of various planning, pricing, and marketing KPIs
• Enhancing and driving the implementation of automated business processes
• Enabling stakeholders to access and consume relevant data for their day-to-day activities, e.g., through:
• Building and maintaining custom dashboards based on Google BigQuery (e.g., in Google Data Studio) 
• Building and maintaining reports to enable the day-to-day activities of business teams
• Conducting analyses based on different data sources

You will be expected to take full ownership for the tasks you work on. While you will work independently, your team members will always be there to support you. As the Outlet is a relatively new endeavor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of topics and get to know the ins and outs of running and scaling an e-commerce shop first-hand.

ABOUT OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Strong academic record and degree Business Analytics, Business Informatics, Economics or other disciplines with strong quantitative focus
• 1-2 years of professional experience in a comparable position (includes internships, working student positions, dual study programs)
• Very good English skills
• Solid SQL skills, Python (or another programming language) is a plus
• Ideally, experience working with 
• version control software and data warehouse (gitlab, GBQ or similar)
• tracking data (GA4 a plus)
• data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio or similar)
• Excellent analytical thinking, a passion for working with numbers, and the ability to deliver thoughtful solutions based on data analyses
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner
• Finally, you should be curious to learn about new topics with a strong intrinsic motivation to work hands on in a fast-moving scale-up environment
