About our Team
 

Within Research Products, the role of the Product Analytics team is to turn the multitude of data into insights and AB testing opportunities that can be used to build better digital products. Like us, you thrive in a complex data environment. We like getting our hands into the data, focusing on insights which drive actions and product improvements. We extract data and make sense of it using SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Adobe Analytics and quantitative techniques (such as regression, or statistical testing).
 

About the Role
 

You will work on one or more of our fast-growing, innovative, world-leading products, such as Engineering Village or SciVal.
You will be part of a large analytics team (20+ analysts) located in London and Amsterdam. You will be working with product teams and other stakeholders across US, UK and the Netherlands.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Defining metrics. Use your knowledge of user behavior to create performance metrics that align with user success. Apply customer-centricity and business insights to identify key metrics for new features. Collaborate with stakeholders to set OKRs for effective focus;
  • Measuring performance. Set up dashboards and reports to track performance. Build models to analyze product performance and user behavior. Ensure proper tagging for product improvement. Create funnels to represent user engagement. Uncover new feature opportunities and collaborate with Product Managers to scale solutions;
  • Identifying improvements. Analyze datasets to generate hypotheses and validate them through A/B testing. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver improvements;
  • Supporting decisions. Dive into data to uncover insights from multiple sources, supporting strategic decisions. Help Product Managers plan, prioritize, and communicate feature impact to leadership;
  • Advocating data-driven culture. Present insights clearly through reports and dashboards. Promote a data-driven mindset and empower stakeholders to make informed decisions across the business.


Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis and insight generation with business impact, collaborating with stakeholders as a data-driven thought partner
  • Experience in product analytics, digital product optimization, A/B testing, and web-analytics.
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. 
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, scripting (e.g., Python, R)
  • Ability to analyze and combine large data sets in cloud data warehouse services such as Amazon Redshift (or other Postgres DB) and analytics platforms such as Snowflake and/or dbt
  • Proficiency with visual reporting and dashboarding tools (eg Tableau)
  • Communicate with and manage stakeholders (fluency in English required). Present findings and recommendations from analysis clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate across cultures and departments. Work effectively with stakeholders who may have different perspectives and priorities from yours.
