Organizational Overview:

Our Analytics team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving customer/product/digital/ journey experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives.

Role Summary/Purpose:

Sr. Analyst, Analytics (individual contributor) role is a part of Home & Auto & Digital pillar under India Analytics Hub (IAH). The role will include understanding the request of the business, Extract , transform , validate and visualize large data to address project delivery enabling Synchrony’s growth and profitability. The model candidate must be passionate about data & analytics, know the story and keen on learning new technologies. You will have the opportunity to work with a specific portfolio or cross-functional teams and leverage state of the art tools (viz., SAS, Model builder suite of products, R, Python etc.,). This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Data and Analytical tools to create and track metrics which reflect state of the business

  • Triangulate and analyze data from multiple sources to draw insights and make recommendations to fulfil business/project objectives

  • Adherence to timely delivery, accuracy and documentation in line with Audit Procedures

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Academic knowledge of SQL / SAS /Open Source concepts, ability to write and execute queries.

  • Basic Understanding of Core Concepts / Metrics in Retail Finance.

  • Ability to articulate analysis outcomes into findings and recommendations.

Desired Characteristics:

Working Knowledge on SQL/SAS/Python to perform data manipulation

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field with 0 to 2 years’ experience or in lieu of a degree, a high school certificate and additional 2 years of work experience

WORK TIMINGS: 

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
