We are seeking an ML Researcher/Applied Scientist in AI/Machine Learning to join our Research & Development Team in Paris. Research Scientists at Upskills lead our efforts in developing novel architecture and solution to feed our AI-based solutions and products and produce research that aims to be published in top AI conferences. Individuals in this role are expected to be experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational statistics, and applied mathematics, particularly in areas such as natural language processing/understanding, deep learning, and computer vision.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Lead and manage complex R&D projects on applied mathematics, computer science and machine learning
• Contribute to team research and publications.
• Suggest and engage in team collaborations to meet the Research & Development Dept. goals.
• Bridge the gap between the research and engineering teams by contributing research that can be applied to Upskills’s products and solutions.
• Report and present experimental results and research findings, both internally and externally, verbally and in writing.
• Upon request, collaborate with other groups’ activities, including but not limited to presenting the company to new prospective clients, participating in calls and meetings, and representing Upskills in conferences/events.
• Ensure timely delivery of expected results
• Ensure quality of the delivery


Requirements

• Ph.D Or Master Degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or a related scientific field.
• Experience using deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, and/or Jax.
• Proven ability to contribute to research communities and/or efforts, including publishing scientific papers at conferences.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit.

NICE-TO-HAVE
• With the title of Jeune Docteur
• Software engineering experience demonstrated via previous work, contributions to open source, or coding competitions.
• Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision or Graph Neural Network experience
