Senior AWS Data Engineer

On behalf of our client, a global leader in secure and decarbonized digital services, we are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Data Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remotely or from the office/hybrid mode, depending on preferences.
 
The program aims to target a full CICD pipeline for implemented apps to facilitate industrialized development, testing, and deployment. This will include coding conventions or guidelines, which will be defined by the chosen digital partner to ensure consistent quality and stability of the Digital Products during the project and in the future. 
Responsibilities:
 

• Write performant complex queries to extract and manipulate data from PostgreSQL and other relational databases efficiently;
  
• Schema design, optimization, and being able to work with large-scale data sets with full understanding of the tradeoffs chosen;
  
• Build, manage, and deploy data pipelines,;
  
• Design and implement efficient data models;
  
• Design and implement data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
  

Requirements

• Strong SQL DB skills;
  
• Programming skills (Python, JS/TS, or Scala);
  
• Data modeling;
  
• ETL development (Apache Airflow or AWS Glue);
  
• Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, and Glue);
  
• Good communication skills (communicate with data scientists, analysts, and business users).
  

 Nice to have:
 

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB and DocumentDB);
  
• Familiarity with data warehousing (star schemas and data marts);
  
• Experience with Snowflake.
