Data Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.
• Implement data processing solutions with Azure Data Factory and Snowpipe for large-scale processing.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create and maintain star schema data models for business intelligence and reporting.
• Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with data analysts to meet business data requirements.
• Write and maintain SQL scripts for automation and integration tasks.
• Utilize Sigma for data visualization and reporting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for reliable data flow and performance.
• Stay updated with trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  
• Proficiency in Snowflake and Azure Data Factory for data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
  
• Strong experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
  
• Solid understanding of star schema data modeling and its application in data warehousing.
  
• Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and query optimization.
  
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and data processing tasks is a plus.
  
• Experience with data visualization tools.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Snowflake and Azure cloud platforms.
  
• Knowledge of other data modeling techniques and database management systems.
  
• Experience with machine learning and data science tools and frameworks.
  
• Experience with Sigma data visualization tools.
