The Head of Data Analytics will manage a senior data analyst and work very closely with the data engineering and Power BI reporting team to design, build, and interpret complex data, producing foundation data sets, insightful reports, one-off analyses and actionable insight.

Requirements

Responsibility for analysis and insight at The Office Group is distributed across several different teams in areas including Finance, Business Strategy and Property. The data used by these teams is largely owned and managed by the Data team. The Head of Data Analytics will work within the data team to own the production, interpretation and dissemination of high quality analytical data to both the different analyst communities and different end-user stakeholders across the company.

You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in all areas of the business, understanding what data and analytics are required, developing a roadmap for foundational analytics and partnering with relevant technical teams to deliver the vision. Working closely with key stakeholders in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Strategy, Property and the C-suite, you will ensure their requirements are understood and delivered, helping to create a best-in-class data & analytics capability.

The work delivered by the team will enable better decisions to be made in all areas of the  business, creating additional value and improving operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Define strategic analytics objectives and measure progress against these

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy

  • Develop for data & analytics that supports the wider business strategy

Collect and analyse data

  • Different sources, including internal systems and third-party providers to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities

Drive data governance initiatives

  • Establishing data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security measures.

Collaborate with IT teams

  • Ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimised to support efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.

Communicate complex analytical findings

  • Simply and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualisations.

Help foster a culture of data-driven decision making,

  • Working with the other analyst teams in the organisation to promote the use of analytics to drive continuous improvement .

Experience and Knowledge required :

  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in analytics or a related field, with at least 6 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing analytics strategies in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Experience working with large datasets and using statistical analysis techniques.
  • ·Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
