About the Role

Trailstone is currently experiencing a robust phase of growth, and we are pleased to announce an opening for a Renewable Data Analyst in our new Grenoble office at 30 boulevard Gambetta. 

The successful candidate will be joining our Renewable Portfolio Analytics team during a dynamic period of expansion. The Renewable Portfolio Analytics team is dedicated to maintaining the seamless operation of our trading platform and enhancing our state-of-the-art power forecasting tool. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics and your knowledge of the renewable energy sector to provide insightful analysis across the diverse portfolios managed by Trailstone.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence in our Grenoble, France office for 2-3 days each week, with flexibility. The role also offers the opportunity for regular visits to our main European office in Berlin. 

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Taking ownership of operations within your designated countries and contributing to the rapid expansion of our portfolio through key data analysis.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust, scalable suite of data visualization tools that incorporate cross-country and cross-technology insights.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, business analysts, traders, and data scientists.
  • Serving as a pivotal contact and contributor to the development roadmap for tools and products within the Renewable Portfolio Analytics domain.

 

About You

We are seeking a proactive and pragmatic problem solver with a solid grasp of solar plant and wind asset operations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Master's degree with a specialization in Data Analysis.
  • A background in the energy sector, preferable with at least 1-2 years of experience in renewable asset operations (wind or solar).
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools, with a preference for experience with Grafana.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • The capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong relationships with international stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills.
