The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for the production, interpretation and dissemination of high quality analytics to stakeholders in all areas of the business. Working within the CIO’s technology function, you will work very closely with data engineering and the analyst functions in other areas of the business, designing, building, and interpreting complex data sets, producing reliable reports, one-off analyses and actionable insight.

Requirements

You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in all areas of the business, understanding what data and analytics are required, prioritising and aligning with the strategic analytics roadmap and partnering with data engineers and other technical teams to deliver work of the highest quality. You will work especially closely with key stakeholders in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Strategy, and the C-suite.

The work delivered by you and your team will enable better decisions to be made in all areas of the  business, directly creating additional value and improving operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse data from different sources, including internal systems and third-party tools, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic analytics priorities and measure progress against these.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis, helping them make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Drive data governance initiatives by establishing data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security measures.
  • Stay updated with advancements in analytics tools and technologies, and the latest industry trends, evaluating their potential to improve our data analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimised to support efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings simply and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualisations.
  • Help foster a culture of data-driven decision making within the organisation, promoting the use of analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Knowledge and Experienece :

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in analytics or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Demonstrated experience of contributing to the design and delivery of analytics strategies in a corporate environment.

Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.

Experience working with large datasets and using statistical analysis techniques.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.

Certification in relevant analytics tools or methodologies is a plus.
