Location: Skillman. NJ (relocating to Summit NJ in 2025)

Travel %: 5%

Pay:   $124,000 - $167,000 

 

What you will do

The Generative AI Technical Product Owner plays a pivotal role in helping Kenvue leverage artificial intelligence to address and streamline complex business challenges. This position involves working independently and leading projects of varying complexity by adhering to the company’s project management methodologies. The role requires a proactive approach to integrating AI and Gen AI solutions across various business functions, regions and systems.

This role is for a strong technology leader that wants ample opportunity for career development and front-line business impact. This role leads both technical product and platform teams responsible for critical global Generative AI capabilities.

This role requires a mix of technical knowledge, strategic leadership, and excellent management skills to in order to shape and influence our generative AI landscape to live into the Kenvue “Digital First” vision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with teams from different departments and functions to identify opportunities for Generative AI
• Define the objectives and expected outcomes of AI projects, ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing systems and practices and are rooted in value and impact
• Define value capture methodologies in conjunction with business stakeholders to effectively track the impact of AI and Gen AI tools and solutions
• Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments and capabilities in Generative AI 
• Evaluate and improve business processes in relation to Gen AI applications, recommending enhancements when necessary
• Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and developments
• Document Gen AI processes and maintain records and support materials for ongoing and completed projects
• Manage Gen AI projects, ensuring they align with business goals and technology frameworks
• Conduct thorough analyses to bridge any gaps between current operations and new AI functionalities
• Design and implement AI-driven strategies to enhance business operations and solve problems
• Train users and ensure they are comfortable and proficient with new Gen AI tools and systems
• Address and resolve any issues raised by users and gather feedback to guide future improvements.

Qualifications

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, technical project management, or a related role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong technical background with experience in software development, APIs, system integrations, AI, Data Science, or GenAI Solutions.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstration of strong collaboration skills is required
• Demonstrate experience to ensure appropriate effective communication across various organizational levels is required
• Agile frameworks knowledge (Scrum)
• Working understanding of IT development, architecture, and infrastructure concepts across a variety of functional domains
• Proven ability to lead teams onsite and offshore: Developing team priorities, balancing resources between operational support and enhancements, and ongoing prioritization of evolving business needs
• Ability to work independently and take ownership for results and to challenge the norm
• Experience participating on cross-functional leadership teams, as well partnering on strategy with senior leaders to achieve specific business outcomes
• Experience supporting both platform teams and solution delivery teams is desired
• Experience with AI or Generative AI capabilities

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in defining scope and objectives across diverse platforms, databases, software, hardware, technologies and tools for AI or Generative projects
• Experience in analyzing and assessing business processes within support areas as they relate to AI or Generative AI systems and applications, and defining/suggesting improvements where appropriate
• Experience in performing gap analyses based on current configuration/functionality versus new requirements 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to resolve issues and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements for AI or Generative AI projects

 

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $124,000 to $167,000.  This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
