About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Business Operations team here at Dotdigital. With a strong focus on being bold, getting stuff done, you will be a key enabler to the organisations success by driving data driven decision making. Utilising your knowledge of data best practices and strategy and years of Power BI experience, you will be able to hit the ground running with some truly business-changing projects which will make a huge difference to how we report and operate within the SaaS space. Pulling data together from a variety of data sources you will be able to directly impact our go to market strategy, customer adoption and retention as well as reporting on our financial success.

You will be responsible for designing and transforming data into business information through interactive dashboards and reports. You will serve as an evangelist for predictive analytics, employing innovative methods to draw insights from data and showcase the art of the possible with thought-provoking visualisations.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand their data requirements and translate these into data solutions
• Be responsible for the full reporting lifecycle – from stakeholder engagement to final output
• Write, debug and optimise SQL queries
• Create streamlined data models in Power BI, pulling data from a variety of data sources
• Write efficient DAX measures to report on KPIs
• Create visually engaging reporting solutions in Power BI
• Develop a deep understanding of Dotdigital’s Dynamics365 CRM system
• Provide ad-hoc analysis, modelling and reporting and ensure these are delivered in the most efficient way
• Provide third line support escalation path for all BI support requests
• Continuously expose data quality issues, ensuring effective remedies are actioned

About You

• Three years or greater experience…
• Power BI Developer role (most recent employment)
• Writing and editing SQL with SSMS
• Power BI Service (Pro or Premium), Distribution and Security
• Demonstratable experience with Power Query (M Code) and written DAX
• Knowledge of Dynamics365 CRM / or other CRM system
• Logical approach to problem solving and analysis
• Articulate communicator / stakeholder management experience
• Attention to detail regarding meeting a brief and identifying data quality issues 

Desirable:

• Delivered BI within a Business Operations / Transformation Department
• Delivered BI within a Marketing / Ecommerce Industry
• Experience working in a SaaS company
• Python in Power BI (Pandas / NumPy)

• 30-min virtual interview with the hiring manager
• A technical task will be issued
• 1-hour final interview
