Junior Data Engineer

As a member of our team you will work together with data engineer professionals and reporting experts on developing and maintaining smooth operation of Group level controlling databases. The main task is participate in developments of our BI products, support the data provision and data quality improvement processes in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Development of self-service BI solutions with Microsoft SQL Stack
• Development and maintenance of MsSQL databases, SSIS projects, ADF pipelines and Analysis Services tabular models
• Create and implement data storage, data cleansing and ETL / ELT / ETLT solutions
• Create and implement financial forecasting models utilizing up-to-date information and historical data as well
• Implementation of the group level controlling methodologies, creating best practices
• IT implementation of newly developed models and methodologies
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate the performance effectiveness of data models and applications
• Efficient cooperation and communication with the reporting teams and business units

Requirements:

• Relevant University/College degree (informatics or economics field)
• Knowledge of MsSQL, creating Transact-SQL queries and Stored Procedures
• Knowledge of create and optimize data processing pipelines (SSIS and ADF)
• Analytical and modeling skills, ability to work with databases
• Open minded for new technologies and practice (e.g. Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions)
• Ability of structured thinking
• English skills, both written and oral
• Intermediate English skills, both written and oral
• Junior applicants are also welcome

Advantages:

• Relevant working experience (SQL databases, tabular models or Power BI)
• Basic knowledge of:
• source and version control systems (e.g. Git, TFSVC)
• CI/CD tools (preferable Azure Devops)
• ticketing applications (preferable JIRA)
• Microsoft data processing solutions - SQL Server Integration Services and Azure Data Factory
• Analysis Services tabular modelling
• Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions (development and/or maintenance)
• Microsoft certifications on Associate or Expert level in data related learning path (analyst, engineer, scientist, or database administrator)
• Interest in Finance and Banking
