The candidate will join the Test Systems Engineering team, which includes Operations Support Engineering (OSE), Test Support Engineering (TSE), and Metrology Engineering. In this role, they will have the opportunity to contribute to software enhancements that will be implemented across the Phoenix Electronics site.

As an intern with the Test Systems Engineering team, you'll be part of a dynamic group that includes Operations Support Engineering (OSE), Test Support Engineering (TSE), and Metrology Engineering. You'll have the exciting opportunity to work on innovative software changes that will be used throughout the Phoenix Electronics site. What You Will Do:

  • You will design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards that deliver real-time business intelligence.
  • You will utilize advanced Tableau features, including calculated fields, parameters, and dynamic filtering and ensure data security and access control within the Tableau environment
  • You will work closely with teams to deploy and integrate dashboards into existing reporting systems.
  • You will regularly update and refine dashboards based on user feedback and evolving needs and will generate capacity reports for test equipment.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define data visualization requirements and will develop intuitive, user-friendly dashboards using tools like Tableau, focusing on clarity, functionality, and accessibility.
  • Optimize dashboard performance for large datasets, ensuring fast load times and ensure dashboards are compatible across various devices and platforms.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of dashboard design principles, focusing on user-friendliness and data accessibility and knowledge of data security protocols and access control in dashboard and reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with database management, SQL, and automating data pipelines and ability to collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Knowledge of workflow process analysis and experience identifying inefficiencies using data-driven insights.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and scripting for data analysis is a plus and with statistical analysis and data manipulation techniques is preferred.
  • Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data points relevant to workflow analysis.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
