Junior Data Engineer

Our Data Engineering will be responsible for maintaining the core platform and services that enable data and analytics at Vacasa. Working closely with data science, analytics engineering and analytics teams you will play a key role in the design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines; providing timely, accurate, and reliable information to all aspects of the business. 

As a Junior Data Engineer, your role includes:

• Designing, implementing, and championing the tooling required for data ingress and orchestration.
• Developing DWH standards, ingress and egress patterns for production data sets.
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure prioritization of data and analytics goals.
• Troubleshooting DWH, pipeline, or data lake performance problems and bottlenecks.
  
  

Skills you'll need:

• Minimum 1+ years experience in software engineering and data engineering 
• Hands on experience with:
• ETL and data orchestration tools
• SQL and relational database management systems
• Nice to have:
• cloud or columnar data stores such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Hive/Presto
• supporting transformation tools such as DBT, Fivetran, or AWS Glue in production
