WHAT WE DO

Nitrogen has been revolutionizing how financial advisors and wealth management firms engage with their clients since the launch of Riskalyze in 2011. Today, Nitrogen offers an integrated client engagement software platform featuring risk tolerance, proposal generation, investment research, and financial planning tools designed to help firms and financial advisors deliver personalized advice. We invented the Risk Number®, built on top of a Nobel Prize-winning academic framework, and is the champion of the Fearless Investing Movement — tens of thousands of financial advisors committed to our mission of empowering the world to invest fearlessly.

MISSION

You empower the world to invest fearlessly by architecting, building, and shipping high-quality features and improvements to our products. You relentlessly lead by example, setting and expecting high standards, supporting and mentoring engineers around you, and growing along with them.

Nitrogen is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply. We are committed to being fair and intentional in our hiring decisions by reviewing every application thoroughly.

THE TEAM YOU WILL WORK WITH - DATA PLATFORM

We are an experienced team of six people, responsible for the most important ETL processes in the company. We are a group that respects human values and opinions. Of course, the right amount of humor during daily meetings is a must! We enjoy integration events and willingly spend our free time together. We are looking for someone who likes and knows how to work in a team while maintaining a professional approach to their duties.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

  • You are independent and, based on your experience, are able to implement functionalities alone or with minimal help from more experienced colleagues.
  • Contribute to the architecture roadmap, resulting in performant and reliable systems that provide a great developer experience.
  • Think holistically about the software being created - functionality, testing, maintenance, further development.
  • Eagerly share knowledge and also learn from more experienced colleagues.
  • Have a positive attitude towards life. You can admit mistakes and point them out to others.
  • You are detail-oriented. Working with data requires meticulousness and accuracy.
  • You can clearly and directly communicate your needs, problems, and ideas.
  • Know how to organize your work and understand the priorities of the team and the company.
  • You treat the people you work with with respect and expect the same from your coworkers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering (SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, ETL Tools, Data Lakes & Data Warehouses).
  • 2+ years of experience in DataOps (AWS - DMS and Airflow, Terraform, Docker).
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, preferably Snowflake - as a developer, not necessarily as an architect.
  • 2+ years of programming skills in Python.
  • Familiarity with data testing.
  • Deep expertise in data pipelines, streaming data, and ETL workflows (DBT preferred).
  • Soft skills are important. We have an incredible atmosphere in the office and on the team, and the candidate has to be part of it.
  • Knowledge of Polish language that allows you to communicate with the team.
  • B2 level English skills - we have meetings with teams from the US.
  • Candidate must have tax residency status in Poland.
  • Any experience with AI is nice to have.
  • The expected monthly compensation range for this position is 24k PLN - 28.5k PLN.
  • For a truly exceptional candidate, there may be a possibility to go beyond this budget.

Benefits

  • Medical healthcare for you, your partner or family.
  • Medicover sport.
  • Annual bonus.
  • Full Remote is possible but if you want to work on-site/hybrid, our office is located in Wroclaw’s center - Green2Day - with parking space nearby.
  • Benefits cafeteria - Worksmile.
  • English language course, Grammarly access.
  • Lunch card.

WHAT WE CAN GIVE YOU

  • A unique atmosphere and friendly work environment.
  • Interesting Fintech product to work with.
  • Support of very experienced architects.
  • Opportunity to learn new technologies.
  • Many integration events in our office.
  • Set of cutting-edge equipment (MacBook Pro etc.).
  • Flexible working hours.
