About the Role

 

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team in Zurich for a unique professional opportunity. As a member of our team, you will contribute to our innovation pipeline and be able to work first-hand with topic experts to build up to date analytical tools and deploy applications that generate true accumulation portfolio insights.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Translate business problems into actionable data & analytical products: ideate, business analysis, change management and roll-out activities. Support the ACP community in increasing data literacy and data skill sets. Promote and push user adoption of our product suites. Be the port of call for ad-hoc insights and analytics.

 

About the P&C Capacity Steering Team

 

We are a highly collaborative, knowledgeable, and action-oriented team in Alternative Capital Partners. The P&C Capacity Steering team specifically is a department mandated to steer our group's P&C underwriting portfolio by setting scenario risk capital intensities and owning P&C capacity framework.

Our aim is to enhance the Group's capabilities to control accumulating risks in real time. We actively set scenario capacity limits and manage the accumulation risk. We steer the dialogue on relevant business and strategic topics, requiring a group–wide view.

 

About You

 

You are driven for results and passionate about translating ideas into tangible data and analytics products. You build on your experiences, but you never stop learning about technology and business environment. You can communicate clearly to different audiences and naturally bring individuals together across countries and functions.

 

•    University degree with strong quantitative background as actuarial science; mathematics; statistics; physics; engineering; business or economics.

•    At ease in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R, SQL.

•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, storytelling with data, as well as the ability to focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture.

•   Experience with cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, Palantir, …), Interest for front-end development is a plus
