System Engineer Internship/Co-op
Foster City, CA
Zoox
Zoox is reinventing personal transportation with an all-electric, fully autonomous ride-hail vehicle, built for riders, not drivers.
Zoox is looking for a system engineering intern to join our Systems Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team. The SDMA team's mission is to construct the Safety Case and validate that our vehicles are safe enough to be deployed for autonomous driving.
In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to evaluate the autonomous vehicle’s motion control performance as well as its response to various electrical/mechanical faults in the motion control system. Your work will be highly hands-on and directly contribute to the safe deployment of our novel autonomous vehicle.
Your work will involve conducting various types of system safety analyses (e.g. fault injection simulations, log data analysis), developing requirements, detailed design and supporting HIL/on-vehicle testing activities.
About ZooxZoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. Sitting at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and design, Zoox aims to provide the next generation of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments. We’re looking for top talent that shares our passion and wants to be part of a fast-moving and highly execution-oriented team.
