The Quality Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that software products meet quality standards, adhere to requirements, and deliver a positive user experience. They require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to testing. Additionally, they should be proficient in testing methodologies, testing tools, and techniques for both manual and automated testing. Effective communication and collaboration skills are also essential for success in this role.

The Senior Data Quality Analyst is responsible for informing solutions and processes to deliver standardized, trusted, and quality data to our business applications, data repositories, and business reporting. This position will work to execute a Data Quality Roadmap which optimizes people, process and technology to improve our overall data quality maturity level. This position will also focus on creating transparency around our data quality controls, tracking of data quality issues and remediation efforts that emerge as well as development of a portfolio view around the overall health of our data. This position has a passion for data quality and will work closely with partners across the Mayo Clinic enterprise, engaging cross-functionally with experts from IT and business/clinical operations. Responsibilities include, design and conduct complex analyses to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps. Develop and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources. Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends. Identify data quality metrics and executes data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality. Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs. Determine business-level impacts related to data quality issues; works cross-functionally to understand errors and to develop data cleansing plans and or implement permanent process solutions to improve data quality.
Create user-specified reports and dashboards, document functionalities, and assist with end-user training and support. Adhere to data governance standards and procedures. Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members in the data quality space. Leverage domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to institute data quality best practices, establishing trusted data and drive use cases across functional teams.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in a data-oriented field (e.g., Data Engineering, Data Translation, Data Science), mathematics, computer science or related field with 7+ years of related experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, or Analytics. Master’s Degree is preferred. Relevant medical or surgical (i.e financial or clinical) experience is preferred. Robust programming skills with experience in R, Python, Tableau, and/or SQL preferred. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills. Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Agile and product management experience preferred. Experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting. Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders with different needs and requirements. Demonstrated ability to multi-task among multiple, complex assigned tasks/projects. Evidence of strong communication, meeting management and organizational skills and ability to adjust the message as appropriate to the audiences of varying technical capabilities. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Documented evidence of ability to take initiative, to work both independently and as a member of a larger team. Experience working in healthcare technology and operations. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications is preferred.
