Your Role and Responsibilities
As the IBM Consulting AI Leader, you will meticulously analyze AI models for potential risks, including data bias, output bias, and decision bias, and provide actionable, holistic recommendations for mitigation. Your detail-oriented nature and analytical skills will drive thorough audits, while your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively communicate complex findings and guide practitioners towards effective corrective actions. This role requires not just a deep understanding of AI risks but also the ability to foster a growth mindset, both in yourself and among your colleagues. We value continuous learning and expect you to stay ahead of emerging trends, best practices, and evolving regulations in AI governance, cybersecurity, and ethical AI practices.

The IBM Consulting AI Leader is responsible for driving and executing AI assessments and associated processes within their assigned BUs through the Integrated Governance Program (IGP). This includes enablement and education across IBM Consulting teams, inventory governance, technical support and assisting consultants with the execution of corporate and Consulting-specific AI and ethics policies and practices.

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that all mandatory system records are accurately updated, including (but not
limited to) the Integrated Governance Registration for Privacy, Tech Ethics and Data
(IGR) form, Privacy & aI Management System (PIMS) inventories, and the AI Impact
Assessment (AIIA) process as specified by the Office of Privacy and Responsible
Technology (OPRT) for their specific BU.
• Engage and assist AI Owners with the completion of their AIIAs (when generated),
technical requirements, and remediation steps to ensure that all AI mandatory
requirements are met.
• Help educate AI Owners on the proper execution of AI policies and BU practices,
including the Integrated Governance Program (IGP).
• Cooperate with the OPRT to address requests and questions that require BU support.
• Understand and be a spokesperson for the delivery of OPRT owned programs by
helping to communicate the applicable requirements within their BU (leveraging OPRT
AI guidance and training).
• Develop strong connections with their AI Ethics Focal Points and the Legal Counsel to
ensure the adequate execution of the IBM Consulting compliance program.
• Coordinate with Business AI Leaders (BALs), Business Unit Privacy Leads (BPLs), IBM Consulting BISO and Data Governance Leads to build a stronger community of experts and share best practices.
• Attend the OPRT led BAL meetings to stay current on program updates, priority
activities, and any actions required for IBM Consulting.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong consultancy background with previous experience in management consultancy
  • A passion for the latest AI developments and AI Governance, Trustworthy AI
  • Experience with AI strategy and AI enabled business transformation.
  • AI Expert with experience on the topics AI Strategy and AI delivery to enable the industry and client teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Relevant certifications in AI fiels
