And, we are looking for a Co-op Research and Advanced Development Software Programmer!

About the Position:

This is a six month co-op in the Research and Advanced Development group working with a principal engineer.  This assignment will focus on the development and creation of new color display prototypes and integration of technology demos, hardware control GUIs, for our new standard and color ePaper products.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct optical and electrical measurements of advanced color ePaper prototypes and demos
  • Design, build and maintain software applications using Python for data processing and structuring
  • Develop, enhance and maintain Python GUIs and applications for internal projects
  • Use Python and Linux to improve the functionality of GUI-based demos
  • Create Deep Learning models and color optimization scripts in Python
  • Provide assembly and testing support for prototype devices
  • Print 3D prototype components

Qualifications:

  • Student pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, or related field
  • GPA 3.7 or greater
  • Knowledge of Python, C or C++ (LabVIEW, HTML, and Java are also useful)
  • Experience with imaging software (Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, the GIMP or Procreate)
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux, Raspberry Pi environments or willingness to learn
  • Local address
