The Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) team is responsible for leading the delivery of world-class data and AI capabilities to improve the financial well-being of our customers and communities. As we continue our pursuit of NPS +30 we need to transform the way we engage with our customers and colleagues. We are now in the time to cement ourselves as industry leaders in AI.

As a Senior Data Scientist in the Data Science and Responsible AI practice,  you will play a key role in developing & executing Responsible AI initiatives and strategies to uplift the capability of the chapter.

You will be the driving force that will drive outcomes and manage a diverse group of stakeholders to embed the knowledge required to deliver on our business and customer outcomes.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few. We are seeking people who are:

• Passionate about building market leading responsible AI capabilities and practises.
• Excited about tackling new challenging business problems in data science by using AI responsibly.
• Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical data science models to find unique solutions that add strategic value to the business.
• Collaborative in nature to work alongside risk, product and technical/systems teams, curious in solving data problems and courageous in positively influencing stakeholders.
• Able to think creatively and critically and solve problems, using tools and techniques.

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them.

• Experience in developing and/or monitoring statistical models.
• Experience using Python, SQL and/or R.
• Demonstrated experience in building capability to support and meet the standards of responsible AI models.
• Experience building and/or testing Generative AI solutions is desirable.
