It’s an exciting time to excel your career with ING, and we’re on the lookout for a passionate KYC Senior Data Analyst to join our KYC Operations team. This is a permanent role based in Sydney.

KYC CDD (Customer Due Diligence) and Transaction Monitoring Operations provides assurance that ING is in line with the Know Your Customer (KYC) policy and all required information is reviewed and kept up to date by the Bank. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our obligation to complete the required reviews are met on time and reports are available for all relevant Stakeholders, Group, and local regulators.

You’ll also be responsible for providing collection, maintenance, analysis of data, monitoring and reporting across KYC Operations, covering onshore and offshore operations. You’ll action in-house reporting solutions to assist management to meet the needs of KYC Operations.

A key focus of this role is transparency of data across Transaction Monitoring and CDD, and you’ll ensure all reviews are tracked through their review journey according to the process designed by the Bank. In addition, you’ll assist in the tasks related to Key Control Testing (KCT).

What you’ll do

  • Coordinates, prepares, and reports on Book of Work (BOW) progress across all review populations for both local and offshore operations.
  • Allocation of reviews for local team leads to assist in case allocations of files amongst CDD and Transaction Monitoring Analysts.
  • Prepares reports on a daily, monthly, and ad hoc (as needed) including dashboards and data washes to provide insight to management on benchmarks against Glidepaths.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of AML requirements and internal processes.
  • Execute requests, data and document submissions for Key Control Testing (KCT).
  • Assisting KYC Operations when required with ad hoc requests across multiple teams within KYC.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong background in data analysis within banking will be essential.
  • Sound understanding of risk mitigation through data analysis. 
  • Knowledge of KYC obligations through CDD or Transaction Monitoring operations will be highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well to timelines and both autonomously and as part of a team.  
  • Strong problem identification and solving skills.
