About this Role

As an entry-level Data Analyst you will acquire, analyze and visualize data from multiple sources, as well as maintain existing data systems. You will work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager with a team of data professionals to pull insights and visualize findings to provide insightful translations of large and complex data sets. You will flex your ability to formulate hypotheses and use problem-solving techniques to propose solutions to complex problems as it relates to the company and our clients.
 

Ideal candidate has entry-level experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python, working in version control environments and has a strong desire to build on their current skills to grow their career. Candidates will thrive in an environment with like-minded individuals that are analytical, results-oriented, self-driven and confident.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret market data, identify insights, analyze trends or patterns in complex data sets 
  • Ability to problem solve and pull insights from data sets by querying databases using SQL
  • Working within data warehouse within a Cloud environment
  • Experience or willingness to adapt and learn programming languages such as Python to help solve business needs for data analysis.
  • Visualize findings providing tangible, relatable reports, charts, graphics, etc. 
  • Proactively perform data cleaning and documentation
  • Accurately and efficiently implement tasks from start to completion following specific guidelines and processes
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive client leadership and clients

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in computer science, mathematics, statistics, business  or related field, and/or solid computer programming skills with relevant work experience 
  • 0-2 years' professional experience, preferably in related data field 
  • Working knowledge of SQL to extract and manipulate data
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) 
  • Entry-level knowledge of Python or Go
  • Entry-level knowledge and experience with Git
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google sheets and the Google suite of products 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
