Your role:

As a Quantitative Analysis/Data Scientist Graduate at Gunvor, you will play a crucial role in our data analytics and research team. This 12-month rotational program will provide you with hands-on experience in quantitative analysis, data science, and market research. You will have the opportunity to work on real projects and gain valuable insights into the commodities trading industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze market data to identify trends and patterns.

• Develop quantitative models and algorithms.

• Collaborate with our market research team.

• Gain exposure to trading strategies and risk management.

Qualifications:

• Recent university's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.

• 0-12 months of work experience (ideally in commodities).

• Strong numerical aptitude and coding skills (Python, C#).

• Proficiency in statistical analysis.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to dynamic market conditions.

Selection Process:

Our selection process is designed to find the brightest talents who are eager to embark on this incredible journey. Here's how it works:

Screening & Assessment (Up until December, 2024): Our recruiters will diligently screen applications as they are submitted and match the information to our selection criteria.

• Assessment: If your application passes the initial review, you'll be invited to participate in our online assessments. Here, we get to see your numerical, cognitive, and problem-solving skills.

• Initial Interview: Successful candidates from the assessments will proceed to an interview where we'll discuss your qualifications, experiences, and your passion for the commodities trading world.

Selection Days (January 2025): The final stage includes our face-to-face Selection Days, scheduled for January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know you better, and for you to learn more about Gunvor.
