Apple's US Decision Intelligence (DI) team is looking for a talented individual who is passionate about crafting, implementing, and operating solutions that have a direct and measurable impact on Apple Sales and its customers. As an Engineering Program Manager, you will manage infrastructure, systems, services, and tools for improving sales results. We’re looking for an exceptional engineer that lives at the intersection of design, operations, data, and decision analysis to build solutions for large-scale continuous data transformation and future applied AI initiatives.

Description


In this role, you will: - Be responsible for the development and on-time delivery of large to small data initiatives in the US for Channel Sales RTMs such as Carrier, Consumer, and Enterprise. - Become the liaison for technical and non-technical teams, such as Sales, Data Engineering teams, Data Ingestion and Data Management teams, Decision Intelligence, AiDP, and other ML organizations. - Lead cross-functional teams to translate data and data products into actionable insights. - Execute a broader Data Strategy for the US. - Collaborate with the analytics and data science teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. - Lead external vendors and partners to scale and augment our organization. - Play an active role in the development and maintenance of user documentation, and ensure our Quip and Git repo stays always up to date. - Support data quality and accuracy by enforcing our best practices. - Ensure our Design Process and Design System is followed across developers and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications


  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading large technical projects in the data space.
  • Experience articulating and translating business questions into data solutions, paired with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Viz Eng, UX/UI, and ML Engineers.
  • Proficiency in PM tools and processes like Wrike, Agile, Kanban, Data Ops, and ML Ops.
  • Able to balance competing priorities, long-term projects, and ad hoc requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of backend technologies such as SQL/Snowflake, as well as web standards relating to REST, HTTP, JSON, and API development.
  • Experience with frontend dev (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, etc.) as well as Tableau and other Data Visualization tools and techniques.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, constantly evolving business environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts. Dataiku experience is a plus.
  • Experience with data integration and data governance tools, and Data Management teams.
  • Great understanding of Design Processes and Design Systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud and Gen AI paradigms.
  • Basics in programming languages and tools like Python, R, Git, Airflow, Notebooks.
  • Experience leading teams on building and deploying semantic layers for analytics is a plus.


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
