Do you want to work with management reporting and financial crime prevention in one? Saxo is an investments bank, with high speed, global colleagues and we are looking for a Data Analyst to work within the AML program management and reporting team. 

The AML program is part of 1st Line of defense in Group Operations and located in Saxo’s headquarters in Hellerup. We are currently a team of four dedicated employees with diverse backgrounds and experience, and we are looking for new colleagues to join our program.  The responsibility of the program team is to ensure progress on the Financial Crime Prevention globally across Saxo.

As our new Data Analyst, your primary focus will be to work closely with the reporting and data team to develop and implement multiple reporting solutions based on the right data. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting senior management and financial crime prevention leadership with data requests on different projects.  

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should possess a balanced blend of business acumen and IT expertise. Saxo has a client-centric focus, which requires the candidate to comprehend data analysis and issues from a business standpoint. It is a requirement for this role to be able to collaborate with and communicate across departments and business units in the organization. The nature of the position is analyzing data stemming from financial crime prevention business units, so findings, scoping and collaboration of fixing issues will take place across the value chain. 

Besides this, the candidate must be self-driven and interested in learning how the business works. Experience with data analysis itself and with other financial institutions is a plus, but the right attitude can go a long way if other elements are missing.  

Your profile

You thrive in an environment with constant changes but have an eye for the details. You may have experience from the financial sector within financial crime prevention or are eager to expand your qualification in this area.  

The ideal candidate for the job: 

  • Understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes.  

  • Experience with data analysis of big data sets using SQL, Power BI, and Excel.   

  • Experience with Databricks would be an advantage.  

  • Solid project management skills to guide point-in-time and ongoing targeted data quality projects.   

  • Comprehensive understanding of the importance and impact of data (or bad data) on the ability of the business to meet its own objectives.   

  • Facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving the different points of view and requirements that invariably collide during cross-team and cross-organization efforts. 

  • Have experience in presenting and reporting to senior management

  • Have good communications skills both verbally and in writing.

  • Masters English on a professional level
