We are looking for Senior Associate Data Scientist to drive the development of financial markets surveillance algorithms, utilising Data Science techniques for a key group-wide project, incorporating several pillars of the London Stock Exchange Group.
The candidate would work alongside senior data scientists, QAs, business architects, software architects, business analysts, devops across the group to assist in delivering this unique solution to internal and external clients.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Supports projects, leveraging technical expertise to remove obstacles and to find creative solutions.
- Builds data science products and solutions utilising data science techniques directly.
- Creates compelling proposals with technologists and business to drive innovation from conception to production that are fit for purpose to original business requirement
- Builds and uses domain expertise in financial market content, data science and LSEG data and products.
- Writes highly optimised code for LSEG products and solutions.
Essential skill set:
Relevant experience
5+ years experience in a Data Science related permanent role
Essential skill set
- Hands on experience on Python, OLAP tools (Spark) and SQL(any flavour) programming languages
- Knowledge on Plotly/Dash visualisation tools
- Ability to handle the version control Bitbucket and Git
- Use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with PyCharm/any other popular IDE
