Do you love building scalable applications with a significant impact, and have an affinity with AI? Then this is the job for you! The possibilities that AI offers are continually expanding, but true value comes when these solutions are productionized in a scalable and maintainable manner, and when it directly impacts our customers. Therefore, the central AI team within the Non-Life department is looking for a Medior/Senior Software Engineer. Together, using the latest techniques, we build solutions to make our customer interactions better, faster, and easier.

You will be part of the central Pricing & Data Office. The Pricing & Data Office collaborates closely with the business, actively seeks partnerships, and is always looking for sustainable and effective solutions. Connection with the business, substantive expertise, responsibility, being result-oriented, and having fun are essential for the Pricing & Data Office. It is a team of passionate specialists.

What you are going to do

Within the Data Office, we have a team responsible for building impactful AI solutions. These AI solutions help the Non-Life department to digitalize essential processes. An example is the digitalization of our Claims processes. Your main goal is to create AI solutions for operational teams like Acceptance and Claims together with your colleagues.

Over the past year, we have developed various applications utilizing LLMs, and we are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to modularize these applications and scale them further. You will design the best solutions for business problems in collaboration with the Data Scientists in the team and translate this to high-quality code to create stable applications. We work agile with colleagues from the business on projects that often span multiple sprints.

Specifically, you will write code to turn the AI solutions designed by Data Scientists into production-ready applications that create real value for our company. Researching and applying new technology plays a crucial role. Additionally, you actively contribute to innovation within NN. During our monthly innovation day, you and your colleagues explore which new techniques can be applied within our company.

Are you the Software Engineer who can deliver production-ready AI solutions with impact? Then this job is for you!

  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and one Diversity Day

Who you are

You are an all-round software engineer comfortable working on back-end projects. We are looking for someone who can develop high-quality code and is very eager to learn and actively seek out new skills. Someone who like to share his/her expertise to increase the competency of the team. You are result-oriented and enjoy delivering projects for the business but see particular value in the further adoption of our AI solutions. Your open attitude and strong communication skills are a great help in this. Additionally, you have:

  • Above all, you enjoy further developing the above points on the job

Who you will work with

The team you work with on a daily basis consists of a group of data scientists, a small group of software and machine learning professionals, and a program manager who oversees our activities. You will, of course, work closely with the team's data scientist, and together with these colleagues, we work with great enthusiasm and dedication every day to optimize and innovate customer service, processes, and quality. In addition, you are a member of the "Engineering" guild, where about 400 engineers meet each other. Here, you exchange knowledge and experiences with peers.
