Position Summary...

The Analyst, Data Analytics - Direct Store Delivery will report to the Manager, Direct Store Delivery and will work closely with a team of Analysts to provide ongoing data support for the DOME Project. After the launch of DOME, this role will be responsible for assisting with the ongoing enhancements and maintenance of the system. This role builds out the entire tableau portfolio for the DSD program and will also provide analytics to the Walmart freight program and tie reporting, analysis, and results to the original objects.

What you'll do...

1. Project Management: work with competing priorities and tight deadlines, while overseeing a long-term project timeline and hitting milestones. Focus on the day-to-day task such as data cleansing, verifying, and user testing.
2. Schedule/systems/database/tool development: support with the development process of Project DOME, reflecting user needs in the product and responsible for future enhancements. Once the model is completed, the Analyst will support with ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the code.
3. Data analytics: extract reliable data from various data sources, including the Scheduler, WTMS, Helios, and CDL, to support Project DOME and help the business identify pain points. Individual will also be responsible for the build and maintenance of all the tableau reporting and business analytics that get shared with cross-functional business stakeholders. Responsible for producing analytics to optimize scheduling between stores and DSD suppliers. Analyst will be required to consolidate data and taking into consideration project parameters (zoning, municipality restriction bylaws).
4. Data science: proficient in data mining, data engineering, coding (including, but not limited to, Python, Hadoop, SQL, VBA, R, Excel). Pulling data from shared data warehouses, LSS database, Helios, FourKites.
5. Technical communications: work with technical and non-technical teams and communicate complex topics in a simple, concise manner to both audiences. Take data and articulate it into tableaus for use by business leaders, suppliers, internal stakeholders (merchants, SC, Replenishment, store operations).
6. Business judgement: provide adhoc analyses for business partners to establish and align on realistic expectations.
7. Design thinking: create innovative business solutions that address business needs with a seamless user experience that works today and tomorrow.
