Join our Digital Toxicology team as Computational Toxicologist and you can help make it happen. Your job? Leading, developing and applying AI solutions to predict safety of proteins, antibodies, nanobodies, and synthetic molecules. Drive compound safety and further enhance decision making in discovery and development projects by generative AI and mathematical models. At Sanofi, Digital Toxicology supports both investigative needs and critical decision making throughout all phases of drug discovery and development. As part of the Preclinical Safety unit, Digital Toxicology is linked to investigative and regulatory toxicology, pathology and safety pharmacology expertise.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop scientific methodology & strategy of generative / AI approaches to safety data exploration and drug safety prediction
  • Drive the analysis, integration, visualization, and interpretation of safety data to contextualize toxicological findings and generate predictive analyses
  • Apply mathematical models to evaluate preclinical toxicity mitigation plan
  • Collaborate with project teams in R&D and provide scientific expertise as computational toxicology expert to aid toxicology representatives in the selection and optimization of large and small molecule therapeutics
  • Participate in external consortia and symposia to keep current with industry trends and regulatory evolution in the systems toxicology field; represent Sanofi interests, maintaining high ethical and scientific standards.
  • Author external presentations and manuscripts to contribute to scientific advancement of the toxicology field.

About you

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, especially GenAI and AI models or mathematical models, and their application in toxicology. Track record and demonstrated experience in developing and validating new scientific methodologies and strategies in the field of computational toxicology.
  • Soft and technical skills: Excellent data mining, analysis, integration, interrogation, and interpretation skills are essential, and application to toxicology is critical. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB. Natural strengths in networking and communication are also essential.
  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences, computational toxicology, biology or applied mathematics in pharmaceutical drug discovery
