Job Purpose

As part of the NY Electric Digital solutions team the successful candidate will lead on of our Data & Systems teams working to advance our data management capabilities while providing  support services to teams executing work management, construction, and operations processes.   This role requires expertise and experience in addressing business challenges  thru business, data, and technical skills to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions integrating people, processes, and data considerations.

 

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Manage and support a team of analysts providing data, process, and systems use subject matter expertise to core business functions

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify emerging needs, improve data availability, and embed data quality in company processes  & tools

• Interface with Digital & IT teams to support transformation of processes, data, and technologies including focus on, but not limited to, business intelligence, network operations and work management

• Provide administration & support for existing processes & tools that utilize ArcGIS Online technology for data availability, mobile data collection & data visualization needs

• Contribute to the development of business cases, including benefits analysis, costing, and ROI.

• Plan, mobilize and manage project teams, delivering tangible business benefits.

• Coach the team to further develop their capabilities and perform administrative tasks related to team management.

Key Accountabilities

Close working relationships are required, including:

• Director, NY Data & Systems, and leadership team

• VP, Digital Solutions

• Work Execution and Network Operations  Digital  Leadership & Teams

• Construction, Operations  & Control Center

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and achieving successful business outcomes

• System project or support experience with bias towards GIS (ESRI\GE Smallworld), inspection systems, mobile platforms, and work management or similar

• Knowledge of project lifecycles including requirements, design, development, and implementation

• Experience in process improvement, preferably in the utility industry

• Ability to gather and analyze data to produce cost-effective & timely solution options

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in STEM discipline or demonstrable combination of other education\real world experience

• Experience in electric distribution and/or transmission business.   Telcom experience is a plus.

• Able and available to fulfill a storm duty role when inclement weather impacts our customers.  

• Live within a reasonable commute of Syracuse, NY or Northborough, MA (in office attendance required a minimum 2 days per week)

• Able to travel (expenses paid) throughout National Grid US New York & Massachusetts service territory as needed to fulfill job duties

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and acceptable driving record

More Information

Salary: $148,000 - $209,000
