Power BI Specialist

Right now, we are looking for a Senior Power BI Specialist to join our team!

As Senior Power BI Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of advanced reporting and data analysis solutions using Power BI. You will collaborate with various departments to transform business data into strategic and operational insights aimed at improving decision-making processes and operational efficiency. You will also serve as a reference point for developing internal best practices and standards for reporting and data visualization.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide effective data visualization and support business needs.
• Collaborate with different business functions to gather requirements, identify business needs, and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Manage and optimize complex data models, ensuring effective organization and accessibility of information.
• Implement advanced DAX measures to create complex and customized calculations within reports.
• Ensure integration of diverse data sources (SQL, Excel, cloud-based, API) and manage connections to relational and non-relational databases.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Science teams for data collection, cleaning, and enrichment, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Monitor report performance and optimize loading times and refresh rates for dashboards.
• Train and support internal users in using Power BI, fostering autonomy in data analysis.
• Keep skills updated on BI and data analysis tools, including improvements and new features in Power BI.
• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation related to reports, dashboards, and data processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Data Visualization roles, with at least 3 years in Power BI.
• Advanced experience with Power BI (reporting, data models, DAX, Power Query).
• Strong background in Data Warehousing and relational and multidimensional database models.
• In-depth knowledge of query languages, particularly SQL.
• Ability to integrate various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Excel, APIs).
• Understanding of data visualization best practices for effective information communication.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools is a plus.
