The Data Platforms Lead will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management and optimization of our modern cloud-based data platform and legacy data platforms. You will lead the team responsible for architecting, building, maintaining, and scaling the data infrastructure, focusing on efficient data processing, integration, and security. • Data Governance and Compliance: Implement and maintain role-based access controls and other security best practices, data governance policies, security, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Cloud Platform Utilization: Drive the effective use of cloud-native solutions, specifically leveraging Snowflake, AWS, and other modern cloud services for scalable data management. Evaluate new features and services to continuously enhance platform capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data delivery teams, architects, data engineers, data governance, and stakeholders to ensure the data platform meets evolving business needs. Align platform capabilities with business goals and facilitate easy access to high-quality data.
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Establish monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform stability and rapid incident response. Manage platform SLAs and work with support teams to address any outages or performance issues.

The experience you will bring:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Data Platforms: 8+ years of experience in designing and building enterprise data platforms with a focus on cloud architectures using data platforms such as Snowflake on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experienced in implementing data integration using modern ETL/ELT tools (e.g., DBT, Matillion, Apache Airflow) and building efficient, scalable data pipelines across hybrid environments.
  • SQL and Scripting Skills: Expertise in SQL and other programming languages (e.g., Python, Scala) for querying, and automating data pipelines and workflows.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Experience in implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the context of data architecture, automating data deployments, testing, and monitoring.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical leadership to align data architecture with organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise: Prior experience in the financial services sector or a deep understanding of data platforms and data integration tools.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in cloud platforms and specialized data technologies (e.g., Snowflake SnowPro, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
