As a Business Architect Sr within PNC's Enterprise Technolgy's EDMT -ENT Provisioning organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL or Columbus, OH. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

This position is focused on support for large and medium scale priority corporate and regulatory initiatives. The position will collect new data requirements, perform analysis, data mining and mapping to support various business strategies. Candidate will be required to demonstrate an aptitude in writing coherent SQL in any of the major relational databases.

Candidates will require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, model and interpret data. This individual will need experience in analytics, programming languages (SQL) and warehouse consumption. They should be adept in presenting complex concepts and communicating technical content to general audiences, designing and documenting technical requirements as well as possess the ability to effectively manage and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.

Designs business architecture through conducting needs analysis, routine problems resolution and outcomes estimation, in accordance with standards and processes.

Analyzes business requirements, current technical gaps and possible applications needed to support business strategies and expectations.

Plays a key role in data provisioning to risk assessments, quality assurance processes and routine issue resolution in business architecture.

Facilitates stakeholder communication, collaborates with different teams and serve as liasion between business and technical teams ensuring alignment on goals and solution.

Technical skillsets required to be successful in this role include but are not limited to:
1. Ability to create and troubleshoot SQL
2. Working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive and Impala
3. Skilled in Python.
4. Data warehousing concepts and applications
5. Documentation of data requirements
6. Knowledge and experience in creating BI solutions
7. Perform data analysis for downstream demand
8. Self-motivated individual able to work with little supervision.

Job Description
  • Provides guidance and advice on business architecture designs in complex projects, resolves difficult problems and ensures that all deliverables meet high standards in quality.
  • Designs business architecture procedures, such as the target operating model and roadmap, while considering business strategies and goals.
  • Consults on best practices for junior staff in business architecture planning, processes, data modeling and business architecture tools (e.g. UML and BPMN.)
  • Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
  • Oversees the quality of business architecture project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards and processes.
