Lead Software Engineer (Python, Data)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer (Python) to join our RWD team in Belgrade! About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 5+ years of experience programming using Python (preferably for data)
• 5+ years of diverse experience working with data in general
• 4+ years of experience with SQL databases
   

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Design, or related field
• Experience with big data tools such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or similar
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and tools
• Knowledge of working within Scrum methodology
   

What will you be doing in this role

• Develop and maintain the infrastructure components crucial for managing Healthcare RWD, including databases, data pipelines, and storage systems
• Develop and maintain robust data processing pipelines to efficiently ingest, clean, and integrate diverse healthcare datasets
• Work closely with the domain experts to translate complex proprietary business rules and logic to scalable and optimal data process flows to enrich the RWD data product
• Continuously monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and healthcare experts
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, data workflows, and processes
   

Product you will be developing
Real-world data (RWD) integrates diagnosis, pharmacy claims, and electronic health records (EHR) to provide comprehensive insights into patient populations and healthcare. It covers 70%-80% of the insured population in the U.S., enabling life sciences and healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare equity. This makes it an exciting opportunity for you to work on impactful, data-driven healthcare solutions.

About the Team
You will join an international, cross-functional team, serving as a vital link between the Data and Software Engineering teams. This position reports to our Senior Manager, Data Analytics who is based in the US. You will be a part of a smaller team of 4 other people made of Data Engineers and Data Scientists, and you will actively collaborate with the Software Engineering team.

Hours of Work   

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone. 

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
