JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Coping and Regulation of Environment Stress (CaRES) Lab, directed by Dr. Martha Wadsworth in the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State University, invites applications for a Research Data Management Specialist. The anticipated start date is Fall 2024.

The Research Data Management Specialist will have the opportunity to work on a NIMH-funded study, investigating the efficacy of the Building a Strong Identity and Coping Skills (BaSICS) program, which is a group-based, team-building coping and empowerment intervention developed specifically to meet the needs of youth growing up in poverty. This position will develop, execute, and maintain core data management services for large-scale, data-intensive research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and analyzing data sets
  • Identify potential problems with study data and collaborate with other staff to resolve issues
  • Plan, execute, and document data audits; design and create data quality reports
  • Create and implement data management training sessions for research staff
  • Prepare bi-annual reports for submission to Data Safety Monitoring Board and NIMH
  • Prepare data and analyze for annual RPPR and for publication and presentations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

This position will be filled as a Research Data Management Specialist-Professional, which requires an Bachelor’s Degree.

The successful candidate for this position will also have:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

This is a limited-term appointment, funded for one year from the date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding.

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
