Job Description:
OneOncology is seeking a Data Operations Analyst based in Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, or remote. This position requires experience with SQL and Python, as well as solid coding, debugging, and organizational skills. This role monitors and evaluates day-to-day issues with data feeds, ingestion, and pipelines and will be responsible for rectifying any problems that arise. The role will interface directly with IT, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to resolve issues, proactively prevent issues from happening, and manage needs/requests from stakeholders. Must be able to work independently in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily data ingestion and pipelines and triage or resolve any errors or issues that arise
- Monitor the latency of Data received and proactively rectify any problems by analyzing its root cause
- Handle tasks related to production data manipulation and cleansing
- Communicate with teams and individuals both internal and external to the company on the status of problems or tasks
- Resolve data/code problems and requests consistently and quickly, create plan to educate and mitigate recurring problems.
- Ability to assess and prioritize issues and resolutions independently. Identify inefficiencies in code or processes and recommend solutions to the Data Engineering team
- Work efficiently and independently while communicating effectively
- Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Key Competencies
- Solid experience with SQL
- Familiarity with Python
- Understanding of Object-Oriented code
- Experience with instrumentation, logging and alerting methods and best practices
- Proactive approach to problem solving and strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience using SQL
- 1+ years of experience using Python
- 2+ years of experience using Databases or Data tools
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to manage issues through to resolution
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, and Delta tables preferred
- Experience with lakehouse and medallion architectures preferred
- Experience with Data Integration/ETL processes and tools such as Azure Data Factory preferred
