What to expect

• Leading AI Governance and Policy Development efforts, defining and implementing a maturity path for AI governance with continuous improvements of frameworks and processes, including policy development, governance flow and decision methodologies and risk classification taxonomies.
• Running preparatory working groups ahead of AI Governance Council meetings and actively identifying, prioritizing, delivering and reporting on key inputs and deliverables.
• Conducting detailed Responsible AI assessments of Swift AI-enabled products using established metrics and control questionnaires and help to evolve these tools.
• Supporting the adoption and quality of the AI Initiatives Inventory by working with business owners across the organization to guide them through our Responsible AI practices, acting as a mentor and ensuring collaboration and alignment with partners from second line of defense
•  Engaging with global policy alliances, representing Swift in relevant forums and leading research initiatives to stay ahead of AI policy developments.
• Maintaining the AI Governance internal information suite to support stakeholders to self-serve and support Responsible AI training programs, encouraging a culture of ethical AI development across technical and non-technical teams.

What you need to be successful:

• Proven experience in AI governance, risk management, and policy development, with a keen understanding of AI ethics.
• Strong project management and leadership skills, capable of leading complex initiatives across multiple governance bodies and departments.
• Outstanding communication and partnership working skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and strategic discussions.
• Deep and continuously updated knowledge of global AI regulatory landscapes and standards, experience with the ISO 42001 certification processes is a bonus.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, compliance, and security teams, ensuring a cohesive approach to Responsible AI.

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., AI, Data Science, Law, Cybersecurity or Policy).
• Experience working within a global financial institution or similar environment.
• Certifications in AI governance or risk management.
• Demonstrated success in integrating Responsible AI practices into product development and company strategy.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in AI governance.
