Senior Research Engineer in Computer Vision

OPPO US AI Lab is seeking a self-motivated Deep Learning engineer to work on applied computer vision research projects. The candidate will have good opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research to solve real-world problems and help developing the technologies that power future OPPO products. The candidate will work closely with both deep learning researchers and engineering teams to develop AI algorithm prototypes and deliver efficient implementation on target OPPO product platforms.

Duties and responsibilities

· Research and develop deep learning algorithms on computer vision, especially diffusion models that achieve state-of-the-art results

· Develop robust and efficient algorithms that satisfy product level requirements

· Implement algorithms within specific hardware and performance constraints

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

· PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields such as Physics and Mathematics

· Solid background in deep learning algorithms and optimization techniques

· Familiarity with common deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow

· Strong background in computer vision and machine learning basics

· Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++ or Java, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Research experience in image and video processing (generative methods such as diffusion and autoregressive models, image/video understanding or enhancements etc.)

· Project experience in computer vision and imaging applications such as computational photography, view synthesis or 3D vision

· Good publication record at top-tier ML conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc) and/journals

· Strong problem solving skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$300,000 + bonus + long term incentives benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
