About the Team 💻

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll be working within a high-impact, collaborative team that leverages machine learning to unlock insights from vast financial datasets. You will play a critical role in leading projects that shape the future of finance by helping our clients make smarter decisions and deliver more effective services. Our work doesn’t stop at building models; we’re revolutionizing the financial ecosystem itself.

What You’ll Do 🔥

• Own the Model Lifecycle: Design, build, deploy, and continuously improve sophisticated machine learning models, minimizing drift and maximizing accuracy across use cases.
• Become a Data Detective: Proactively dive deep into massive datasets, identify data quality issues, and resolve them to ensure models perform optimally.
• Innovate with the Cloud: Leverage cloud platforms to build, train, and scale advanced models, utilizing our ML Platform to develop cutting-edge solutions.
• Shape our Technical Strategy: Propose and implement forward-thinking technical solutions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in financial data science.
• Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with talented engineering and product teams to integrate your models into production, while mentoring team members to share knowledge and foster growth.
• Contribute to R&D:  Be a key contributor to groundbreaking research and development, exploring the latest advancements in machine learning and applying them to financial data products.
  

Who You Are 💪

• You have a deep understanding of data science and can leverage that knowledge to propose innovative ideas, enhance existing solutions, and shape the future of finance in Canada and globally.
• 5+ years of experience as an established and confident Data Scientist.
• Not afraid to experiment and explore new techniques and solutions.
• A strong proficiency in Python for data science.
• Hands-on experience with advanced NLP models (e.g., Transformers, BERT).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their application to scalable data science solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
