- Responsible for applying foundational software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure secure data and technology solutions are developed with consistent practices and protect from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Mentors and uplifts knowledge of team members on design techniques, tools and coding standards.
- Partners with Business Architect to evaluate solution opportunities and align on architectural design practices that support solution design.
- Provides strategic advice on technology implementation and removes roadblocks to achieve customer goals.
- Ensures continuous learning and growth with ongoing training, paired development opportunities and collaborative innovation working sessions.
- Accountable for all production automation code developed by engineers in NEVA and Power Automate Desktop.
- Point of contact for team members to review solution design, remove roadblocks, and coordinate solution delivery.
- Standardizes processes to ensure higher level of automation success.
- Monitors industry trends and utilizes industry expertise to determine potential implications and opportunities for Nationwide.
- Accountable for standardized of test strategy ensuring solutions meet functional requirements prior to production deployment.
- Ensures quality automation using Quality Assurance (QA) processes and prevent any potential bugs.
- Partnership with Agile Lead and Product Owner on engineer process updates, delivery roadblocks and platform stabilization.
- Responsible for managing the inventory of product technical debt and impacts to support prioritization of the backlog. Ensure consistent design for past and future solutions.
- Participates in automation idea intake, retros and project sign-off meetings with customers and other team members.
- Accountable for Automation health, alerting and monitoring of solutions post-implementation resolving potential issues to ensure smooth business operations.
- Supports the development of RPA strategies, polices and plans. Ensures priorities are aligned to organizational product strategy and goals.
- Develops complex solutions that support global efforts applicable across solutions and reusable for multiple customer groups.
This position will support the Nationwide Financial Robotic Process Automation efforts with our Business Capability team.
This is a G4 band role.

You will utilize RPA expertise to drive business efficiencies and results. You’ll perform work focused on analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment and support of the organization's technology resources and processes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Partners with key stakeholders to evaluate and assess business needs and priorities then recommends and develops solutions to enable success.
- Implements and supports robotic process solutions robotic process automation solutions in tools like NEVA, Automation Anywhere and Power Automate
- Analyzes process steps and interdependencies in existing business applications that are typically done by a human user.Standardizes processes to ensure higher level of automation success.
- Monitors industry trends and utilizes industry expertise to determine potential implications and opportunities for Nationwide.
- Tests automation and suggests changes based on functional requirements.
- Conducts value stream mapping and Return on Investment calculations to measure successes and refine processes going forward.Analyzes data to understand current state and improvements gained through automation.
- Ensures quality automation using Quality Assurance (QA) processes and prevent any potential bugs.
- Keeps stakeholders informed of process changes, defects and results.Participates in project review meetings with customers and other team members.
- Monitors and maintains automation post-implementation and resolves any potential issues to ensure smooth business operations.
- Identifies business operations processes that are feasible for automation. Assesses and documents technical and functional requirements. Provides recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Supports the development of RPA strategies, polices and plans. Ensures priorities are aligned to organizational strategy and goals.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager, Director or Officer.
Typical Skills and Experience:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, information technology, business or a related field. Graduate studies preferred.
Experience: Seven or more years of RPA or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Ability to apply advanced knowledge of RPA to business problems. Proven knowledge of performance measurement and style analysis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of workflow systems, macros, low-code automation and other related technology solutions preferred. Experience using online collaboration technologies such as Sharepoint, MS Teams, Jira, and Outlook. Understanding and exposure to T-SQL / PL-SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Jquery, C#, Java, Visual Basic, reporting tools such as Tableau & WebFOCUS and database technologies such as Oracle, MS-SQL server & Netezza are a plus.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Extended work hours may be required based on workload. May require occasional travel.
