Mission

Kingfisher is seeking a Data Engineer for a confidential Department of Defense client. Client mission includes:

• Leading the Department’s strategy and policy on data, analytics, and AI adoption, as well as governing and overseeing efforts across the Department.
• Enabling the development of digital and AI-enabled solutions across the Department, while also selectively scaling proven solutions for enterprise and joint use cases.
• Providing a sophisticated cadre of technical experts that serve as a de facto data and digital response force able to address urgent crises and emerging challenges with state-of-the-art digital solutions

Responsibilities

• Code and manage changes to the existing FM Common Data Model.
• Support the configuration and ingestion of data repositories into analytics and DevOps pipelines.
• Maintain operational aspects of data transfers, ensuring security and monitoring health.
• Automate configuration management and stay current on ETL technologies.
• Engage with functional groups to comprehend client challenges and prototype new ideas.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Experience with Big Data systems and ETL processes.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Ability to apply DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automate the process.

Years of Experience: 10+ years development experience with expertise in Python, Spark, and SQL

Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Minimum Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site) Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, or Arlington
