(Cen) Data Architect

Job Description

A Data Architect designs and manages end-to-end data architecture solutions. Their responsibilities include determining strategic data requirements, creating high-level designs, and ensuring alignment with business goals and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

They design data solutions, analyze structural requirements, migrate data, and design conceptual and logical data models, mainly on cloud solutions.

A Data Architect is responsible for designing data infrastructure to extract and Understand data governance, privacy, and security practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Data Modeling: Proficiency in designing and creating data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to represent business requirements and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Database Management: Expertise in managing databases, including selecting appropriate database systems (e.g., Snowfalke, SQL Azure, relational, NoSQL), optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Knowledge of ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into data warehouses or other storage systems.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud-based data solutions.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like SQL, Python, or Java for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Data Governance and Security: Understanding of data governance practices, privacy regulations, and security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Business Acumen: Ability to align data architecture with business goals, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Position Challenges

• Manage and coordinate several teams from different countries, cultures, backgrounds and expectations​.
• Maintain a constantly evolution for data architecture end to end​.

Qualifications

• Fluent English​

• Academic Background: Computer Science, information systems o similar.
• +1 years data architecture or similar.
• Basic knowledge and experience in data architecture
• Areas of expertise: Data Driven, Process & IT, Analytics, Digital tools​
• Technical skills essential for this role include proficiency in software for data collection and presentation, Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java for data manipulation, adeptness in articulating data-driven decisions, proficiency in summarizing and presenting data, and staying abreast of the latest innovations and trends in the market pertaining to data manipulation products and services.  SQL is a must.​
