THE OPPORTUNITY:

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months.  LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units.  Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship. 

PROGRAM DETAILS:

An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.

2025 PROGRAM DATES:

• June 2 - August 15, 2025
• Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
• June 16 – 19:  On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
• June 30 – July 4: Week off for vacation

POSITION TITLE: Supply Chain ML / AI Intern

YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA

As an Supply Chain AIML intern, you will get to explore new methods, apply machine learning to solve ambitious problems, advance state-of-the-art technology through research and publications, challenge existing metrics or protocols, and develop new theories that will impact the way we understand machine learning and the experiences it can enable.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

• In an AIML internship, you will collaborate with product lead, architect, engineers, and program/project managers to tackle innovative challenges.
• You will also receive technical mentorship and guidance that allows you to learn new things every day, gain practical skills, build real-world experience, develop a greater understanding of our industry, and form valuable connections.
• Design and implement an innovative solution for a Machine Learning and AI problem that is meaningful.
• Meet and present your work to AIML Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, data science, applied mathematics, or equivalent Currently a junior, senior or grad student
• Architect, build, maintain, and improve end to end ML systems utilizing ML platform
• Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal and listening skills

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

• Graduating in 2025 or 2026 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
• Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time  
• Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.  
• Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
• Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA 

The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This job will be posted for a minimum of 5 days.
