About this position

We are seeking an experienced functional data analyst who needs to meet the end to end business analysis and reporting requirements using the BI tools. Analyst will functionally report to global leaders of Analytics & Business Transformation team and need to create BI dashboards as required for monitoring of accurate business performance. Data analyst need to formulate strategies and develop tools / dashboards independently to assist business users in quickly finding the information they need to make better business decisions. Extremely data-savvy, he / she will use BI tools or develop custom BI analytic applications to facilitate the end-users’ understanding of their systems.

Need to engage with multiple business functions mainly Product Line Management, Sales, Engineering, IT and Operations. The job is covering 3 main domains: business intelligence development, Data Management process implementation and Learning courses setup.

Job responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end solutions on data analysis / reporting including applying methods efficiently for datasets varying in size.

• Should be self-sufficient in managing timelines to complete tasks by appropriate deadlines.

• Perform detailed analysis of source systems / data and developing data models.

• Data sanity / data integrity checks. Should have good intuition for how to clean data when ambiguous and identifying/flagging data patterns that look out of line.

• Write complicated yet efficient programs/codes to support analytics or process automations.

• Propose, develop and implement solutions for improved monitoring, controlling and reporting of business performance (opportunities, bookings, billings, inventory, product portfolio, prices, margin etc…).

• Develop reports using the various business tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Excel, Macros / Power query, SharePoint, SAP, Salesforce, etc…) as appropriate and deliver it to customers.

• Work with cross functional teams globally; gather and translate business requirements appropriately to perform data analysis or build the required BI dashboards.

• Need to perform data analytics independently and assist other data analysts in the team to meet various business requirements.

• Liaison between functional business users and IT teams as required.

• Act as SME (subject matter expert) and support business users on their queries.

Basic qualifications

• Qualified Bachelor in Engineering (any stream).

• 4 years to 8 years of experience in business / data analysis.

• Experience in any data analysis tools – Qlik sense, Excel, Power Query / Power BI, Tableau etc.…

• Competency in writing complicated SQL queries.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to effectively and professionally communicate at all levels (internally and externally).

• Good project management skills

• Exposure to Automotive industry desirable.
