This student position is with our Workforce Analytics and Strategic Planning Team. In this role, the student will perform HR analytics and programming tasks.

What you’ll do

• Develop scripts and custom applications to automate and optimize existing HR processes.

• During their term, they will develop and execute programming, custom application development, data engineering, data analytics, statistics, and human resources skills.

• Support with data/ platform migration to the new Azure Databricks platform.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: 

• Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa) 

• Available to begin work in May 2025

Experience with any of the following systems/skills is considered an asset:

• R/RStudio, Python/VSCode, GitLab, Databricks, DBeaver

• Agility, Communication, Problem-solving, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork

Education 

• Must be enrolled in a Business HR, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

• Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered 

• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
