Senior Visualization Engineer - Network Observability

•    Based in Singapore, the regional hub for Asia Pacific (AP) and top-ranked biopharmaceutical company on The Straits Times and Statista’s list of Best Employers in Singapore for two consecutive years (2020, 2021).

We are seeking an experienced Senior Visualization Engineer to join our Network Observability team. The role will partner with visualization developers and data engineers to focus on data analytics, providing actionable proactive guidance for sustainment of critical network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other core network infrastructure components.  The role will be responsible for identifying and mining network metric/trace/log repositories to create custom analytical tools for IT and Business stakeholders.

Act as a senior member of a Network Data Insights team, providing an influential voice to drive strategic guidance to engineering and operations teams globally.

Be an energetic, approachable initiative-taker who is passionate about data and data mining. 

Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the organization's network infrastructure through proactive monitoring, analysis, and optimization. Maintain a robust network monitoring system that captures and analyses network traffic, device performance.

Develop and implement proactive activities such as automation, AIOps, and intelligent alerting mechanisms.

  • Ability to adapt current work processes to meet emerging needs and the ability to evaluate new ideas and proposed methods for practicality and ease of implementation.

Qualification and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or similar data science focus is preferred.
  • Familiarity with key components and best practices of Observability.
  • Strong engineering or operations experience with the components of a large global network infrastructure such as Routers, switches, LAN/SD-WAN, Firewalls, etc.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, reporting, and observability tools such as:        Logic Monitor, Thousand Eyes, Moogsoft, Dynatrace, NetBrain, Elastic.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana Nobl9, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in building actionable dashboards in any of the BI Platforms.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries to understand or build dashboards.
  • Experience in embedding visualization into Web applications.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Passionate about data and good data evangelist.
