Product Manager

We are looking for a Data Product Manager to join our innovative Data & Analytics tribe. This is an opportunity to help propel PokerStars to leadership status with cutting edge data products including streaming data products, AI & ML, customer profile data products to power outbound marketing and in-client promotions. Your initial focus area will be Customer Experience data products that enable PokerStars to build Epic Personalised Experiences, experiment frequently, and engage effectively.

As a key team member, you will work closely with stakeholders to shape innovative and disruptive products and initiatives which positively impact our players. We have a high-performing Data Product team, and colleagues can work on a variety of Data Products, although the initial focus for this role is on data products that power Customer Experiences.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and grow the use of data products that power player features at PokerStars

• Be an SME on uses of data products and its impact in PokerStars

• Build and maintain strong and fruitful relationships with various stakeholders

• Facilitate and own conversations re: priorities & roadmaps of the Customer Experience data team

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products into production

• Demo data products and their potential to users. Create a highly educated user base

• Maintain product documentation, ensuring assets are understood and used purposefully

• Ensure we have fit-for-purpose data products platform to meet current and future needs

What you’ll bring:

• You have worked as a Product Owner or Product Manager for several years

• You have some experience working with and delivering data products

• You have experience of managing a large network of senior stakeholders – it is crucial you’re able to positively influence the uptake of data products, to meet key business goals

• You have experience working with marketing products, experimentation platforms & multi-variate testing, and generosity & promotions

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and stakeholders

• You are a self-starter. You are proactive, energetic, and motivated to add value 

• You are a problem solver, and can utilise a variety of business analysis techniques

• You have a delivery mindset, and a laser focus on landing results

• You are an effective communicator and can adapt your message to meet audience needs

• You find it easy to assimilate knowledge, and share this with others

• You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

• You are confident in concepts of data products and data systems and how they can solve business problems, or you can learn quickly – you may be expected to explain complex data ideas with clarity

• You have experience working in an agile organization, and championing agile practices

• Nice-to-have: You can query complex data assets if needed using SQL, Python or similar

• Nice-to-have: you would have some basic understanding of streaming data platforms (eg Kafka, Flink) and databases (SQL, No-SQL)
