About the role
As a Finance Data Analyst, you’ll gather and compile financial data from various sources, help develop and refine data processes, building data reports and analyze monthly financial data. You'll work with different teams to improve finance processes, automate data flows, and create clear, easy-to-understand visualizations. You’ll also update and document data processes to ensure everything runs smoothly and to support team collaboration.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Extract and compile financial data from various sources, including internal databases, ERP systems, and external systems. Take part in the development of data integration processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in this development.
- Take part in the consolidation and analysis of monthly financial data, and perform Ad-Hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Automate financial data processes to improve efficiency and investigate opportunities for improvement in finance workflows and processes.
- Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand data visualisations to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Update and document data integration and analysis processes to reflect improvements and changes, ensuring clear documentation of data management procedures.
- Promote knowledge sharing and team collaboration through comprehensive documentation of data management procedures.
About you:
- You have a finance background or education.
- You have 2+ years of trackable experience with SQL and Python.
- You have an analytical mindset and advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets.
- You are proficient in English.
- You are self-motivated and also a strong team player.
- You have experience with Looker and financial processes, which is considered a strong plus but not mandatory.
